Meeting the Cousins

In mid-February we drove down to Houston for the memorial for Isaac's Uncle Sidney.  While the occasion was a sad one, it was also the first time Caleb got to meet most of his Grammy's family, including his cousin Alex.  Caleb loved playing with Alex, and they had such a great time that Alex even stopped to visit on his way home!  Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Even though Caleb had a lot of fun in Houston, his Mommy and Daddy will miss Uncle Sidney.  Here is a picture of Caleb and his Uncle from Memorial Day weekend, 2010:

Caleb's First Birthday - Part 2

On the Sunday of Caleb's birthday weekend, we had a great party at Gymboree.  Caleb invited all of his friends to come play and eat yummy cupcakes, and play and eat they did!  Caleb loved climbing and sliding and running around the play area, and he enjoyed the music and games that all the kids played together.  He didn't care too much for the cupcake and preferred applesauce instead.  Mommy's not going to argue with that preference.  Here are some pictures from the party:

Better late than never!  Here are some pictures and video from Caleb's birthday party weekend.  Thank you to everyone that came into town, and we are sorry that not everyone was able to make it!  Here are some photos from the Caleb's family birthday celebration. He had a party with friends too, but that will be in a separate post.

Caleb's First Haircut

On the day of Caleb's first birthday, Mommy decided it was time for a hair cut.  Since this was Mommy's first week at her new job, she had Thursday (Caleb's birthday) off so there was plenty of time for beauty!  Caleb didn't seem to mind getting his hair cut.  He got to drive an airplane and watch Toy Story the whole time, and he got a balloon and a certificate afterward - not a bad deal!

Caleb's First Birthday Invitation

Well, the invitations for Caleb's first birthday party have been ordered!
They are only going to be sent out 3 weeks or so before the party, but I figured I would leverage modern technology and give you a sneak preview:

Happy Birthday Little Man!
I cannot believe it is only a month away!

Two More Teeth!

Happy New Year!
After a very VERY unhappy couple of weeks, we have TWO NEW TEETH!

These two are on the top.  They are not the front top teeth, but rather the two just beside the front teeth.  Once they come in a bit more I imagine that is going to look pretty funny!

There are not any pictures to show at this point, because Caleb refuses to let me see them.  I have felt them though, so I know they have broken through.  Hopefully this will take some of the stress of his two little bottom teeth, which his Grammy recently called "the two hardest working teeth in America."  Caleb is still getting use to them.  I've noticed a decrease in the amount of finger-sucking he has been doing, and I am imagining it is because he has been biting himself when he does so.

Since I don't have any photos of the teeth, here a few of my favorites from our winter stay-cation time.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful new year!

Test

My mobile blogging app hasn't been working - hence the lack of posts for over a month. I am sending out this test post and if it doesn't work, I will buy a new app. Here is a picture of Caleb eating Thai food:

And here is a video of Caleb wearing dreidel antennae (if you are getting this as email the video will probably just look like a photo):
