Thought we would dress up today in honor of our friends Yael and Yosef who are visiting from Israel. Caleb is now solidly in size 0-3 and probably weighs about 8.5 pounds. I will officially weigh him tomorrow with the new digital scale purchased just for that purpose.
I have made arrangements to go back to work on April 9th. I will work Monday Wednesday and Thursday through the end of May then I will be back full time. It is going to be very hard to leave him, but we have found a lovely in-home daycare with an Israeli woman named Talia. I feel like she will give him the attention and love that he needs to thrive while I am at work.
Caleb is doing something new every day now. He loves watching mobiles and toys, he makes all kinds of adorable noises, and turns his head toward his Daddy's voice on speaker phone. He really loves music too, especially singing, and he also seems to like the Diane Rheim show on NPR (he sleeps well while it is on). We are beginning to see lots of smiles too, though they aren't really in response to anything we do yet. He now loves having his daiper changed (or at least off), and he is beginning to find his hands more frequently. It is really amazing how he changes a little every day.
I hope everyone is doing well! Come visit soon!
